Dr Thomas Ng
Associate Professor Thomas Ng graduated in Hong Kong. He was trained in Hong Kong and Glasgow, Scotland in Anatomical Pathology. He further specialised in the field of neuropathology and was trained in The Institute of Neurological Sciences in Glasgow before migrating to Australia. He currently holds appointments with Institute of Clinical Pathology & Medical Research (ICPMR) at Westmead as a Senior Staff Specialist, a Conjoint Associate Professor for the School of Medicine with University of Western Sydney, and an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer in Pathology for the Faculty of Medicine with University of Sydney
He is a fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists in Australasia, a fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists in UK as well as a founding fellow of the Hong Kong College of Pathologists. He spends much of his time as a diagnostic oncologist, particularly in tumours of the central nervous system. He also trains registrars in pathology and other disciplines, as well as teaches medical students. He has published over 60 scientific papers, mostly on CNS pathology, in international and local medical journals.
Associate Professor Thomas Ng contributes to the community by giving medical and health talks to the general public. He is the vice chairman of CanCare Centre - a charitable Christian organization with the aim to serve Chinese cancer patients and their families.
